Germany – 98-year-old charged for Holocaust crimes ☞ The Week

“Authorities alleged that the unnamed man was complicit in the deaths of more than 3,300 people while working as a guard at the Sachsenhausen concentration camp between 1943 and 1945. While stationed at Sachsenhausen, the man allegedly ‘assisted in the cruel and insidious killing of thousands of prisoners,’ prosecutors from the city of Giessen said. A state court will decide whether or not to send the man to trial — if he is, he will be tried in juvenile court, prosecutors said, because he was a minor at the time of the Holocaust.”
