DNS Propagation

Currently, the site has been having some issues, it was moved to a different server and it takes up to 48 hours for the DNS Records to make their way around the world. Hasn’t cleared here, should be fine for most everyone else.

DNS Propagation map showing Dallas not set up with a big X on it

There’s a big X right over Dallas, I can feel it.

DNS Checker – DNS Check Propagation Tool – dnschecker.org
DNS Propagation Checker – Global DNS Testing Tool – whatsmydns.net
DNS Propagation Checker: Real-time Global DNS Status – Site24x7.com
DNSMap – Worldwide DNS Propagation Checker – Global test – dnsmap.io
DNS Lookup – dnslookuo.io
For North Texas Radio – whatsmydns.net

DNS Propagation map, more areas shown lacking coverage then before

ETA – It changes quickly with red Xs popping up here and there, then turning in into green and others turning red, it’s not as smooth as I thought. I figured it would be like a wave. This is a few hours later but it will be completely different in a minute.

At the station, I get way too many emails with irrelevant music submissions mixed in with a large amount of “business opportunities”, website crap, fake invoices, and people who claim to have incriminating videos of me.

If you are using one of these ridiculous music submission services, you probably aren’t reading this. On the other hand, if you are an artist that wants me to take a look at some of your music – in your submission put the subject in the following format:

NTRadio Music Submission – Artist/Band name

I personally wouldn’t recommend paying a music submission service that sends unsolicited, mass-mailed music requests. You’re wasting your money. It’s not just me, most stations probably just ignore them. They’re a waste of time. In my case, even if I played it, it wouldn’t increase your exposure. My station is a niche station. While I don’t have a ton of listeners, the average time that my listeners stay connected puts the major stations’ averages to shame.

For a station like this, it’s all about the music.

If I choose to add your music to the NTR playlist, I’ll let you know. If I don’t get back to you, please don’t take it personally.

If I’d been out till quarter to three
Would you lock the door?
Will you still need me, will you still feed me
When I’m sixty-four?
